The Beary Scrap is a small, family owned, independent scrapbook store located in Shavertown, Pennsylvania. Originating as on online business back in 2005, our operation expanded in October 2008 to an actual brick-n-mortar store. We ARE, quite literally, your little corner local scrapbooking store (LSS). :) Don't let our "small town" look deceive you. We have tastefully packed our shoppe with lots of hard to find scrapbook goodies to feed your paper crafting desires. We continue to add our products to the website weekly, so there is lots more to come. Best of all, because we are such a small business... when the "big guy" or "gal" sells out, chances are we still have it in stock.

What happens when you have a passion for Teddy Bears and a love for Scrapbooking? — The Beary Scrap. Our family owned
and operated storefront boutique officially opened its doors for business on October 8, 2008. As life-long natives of The Back Mountain, my family and I have brought the First dedicated scrapbook and paper crafting specialty shoppe to the Back Mountain and Wilkes Barre area.
Growing up in a family owned business, it's difficult to break away from "being your own boss". My Mother founded PJ's Balloons and Gift almost 20 years ago. I have many memories as a child helping my Mom arrange flowers and balloon bouquettes for all occasions from birthdays to decorating large wedding receptions. My dear father continues to operate my Mom's business and expanded it to include Outdoor Party Rentals. For more information, please contact us and we will be happy to get you in touch with him.
The road to opening the shop has been a remarkable journey for our family. I personally credit my Mom, Phyllis, for helping to guide us in opening the doors to this wonderful opportunity. By combinding her passion for art and photography, I managed to find a happy medium in scrapbooking and paper art. Thank you Mom! We miss you.
The Beary Scrap began as a home based online business about 4 years ago. With the help of Ebay and Etsy, I started selling unique pre-made paper crafted merchandise (aka, tear bears) to fellow scrap bookers. Of course, I can't take all the credit... my dear husband Dave has torn his share of bears over the years. Once in a while I find the time to designs a special tear bear or OOAK layout. Although time isn't what it used to be, occassionally you will find my unitque creations listed on Ebay or Etsy, or in our scrapbooking store.
After being a "work at home mom" for so long, it is nice to meet customers who share my passion for paper crafting. When you visit our Shop you will find various paper lines, embellishments, and materials to create that special look for your scrapbooking page.
My family and I are very happy to have brought the first scrapbooking boutique to the area. Complete with "FRESH PAPERS" and embellishments from some of the most recognized (or not so often seen) companies in the world. Yep, and you can see it, feel it, and smell it. It's better than shopping online, plus we have vast selection of "new" products that you can't find in those other "craft" stores. The Beary Scrap is your one-stop-scrapbook-shopping experience.
