Pre-Orders & Back Orders


What Are Pre-Orders?

When new items are introduced by a manufacturer, distritutor, or we have a new product additions to our store, as a courtesy, we may offer them for pre-order.  This means that we have placed, or will soon be placing our order with the manufacturer.  Please be sure to check the product description for additional information regarding pre-order items.

When you order and item that is being offered as a pre-order, this guarantees you will be the first to receive the item(s) when they arrive in our stock.  Pre-orders are dispatched on a first come, first serve basis.  Meaning the first order in is the first order out.

 

When will my Pre-Order Ship?

As soon as we recieve the item in stock.  Please remember, we receive an excepted "ship to date" from the manufacturer or vendor indicating the date new items will be shipped to us.  Hold-ups in production may cause delays in the manufacturer shipping new products and change our expected shipping date.  The dates indicated are always SUBJECT TO CHANGE for reasons that are beyond our control.

 

Will you notify me if the status of availability changes on my pre-order?

We simply do not have the time to send out individual emails regarding the status of pre-orders.  If you follow us on blogger or facebook, we generally post status updates there.  You may also contact us through our website.  Please BE KIND as we are at the mercy of our vendors and the shipping services they use.  Harsh words will NOT make the situation any better for anyone and create frustration for all of us.

We will notify you as soon as your order is processed for shipment by emailing you a shipping confirmation notice with tracking numbers.

 

I ordered pre-order items and in-stock items.  When will my order ship?

If you order in-stock items with pre-order items, your entire order WILL NOT be shipped until ALL products are available.  Please check our expected arrival/ship to retailers  date to estimate shipping time.  If you do not want to wait for all items to be in-stock, we recommend placing a seperate order for pre-order items.

 

Can I cancel my pre-order?

We offer pre-orders as a courtesy.  Most times, these items are not something that we will continue to carry regularly as they are seasonal.  We re-order these items based on the amount of pre-orders we receive.  This allows us to monitor our inventory and have a better understanding about what types of products our customers most want.

Pre-orders are NON-REFUNDABLE.  We will gladly issue you an in-store credit less a 10% that you may use for a future purchase.

 

Will I be charged for my pre-order right away?

Our shopping cart system is set up to accept payment at the time the order is placed, not upon shipment.  Our credit card processing program is set up so that we do not see, or even store, customer's credit card information.  This is a security measure that protects our customers, and a feature on our website that we are very proud of.

 

Why does my order status say "back ordered"?

This is for one of two reasons:

  1. Our online inventory system is rather complex.  Although we do our best to make sure our inventory is always accurate, occassionally we may oversell an item.  In most cases, the item is a regular stock item expected to arrive within a few days.  We place orders nearly twice a week for regular stock items so this is generally not a problem.  If the item is expected to arrive within 1-3 days, we will hold the entire order until the "back order" item(s) arrives so that all items are shipped together.  When we place an order on "back-order", this flags us to check the packing slip for item(s) that are needed to fulfill the order.

  2. You placed an order for an item that was available as a PRE-ORDER.  When we place an order on "back-order", this flags us to check the packing slip for items that are needed to complete it.

 

I received a partial order with notice that an item will be shipped at a later date, or that a refund has been issued?

If we anticipate the regular stock item to be delayed, or even on "back-order" with our vendor, we will ship your currently order without the back order item.  We include a note with your order indicating the status of that item(s) and when we expect to receive that item in stock.  You will recieve notification from us that the additional item has been shipped.  We assume the shipping fees for the out of stock item when this happens.
